Ochsner serves a wide variety of patients across the region with a clinic at the main pediatric ambulatory facility in New Orleans, as well as satellite clinics. Several multidisciplinary clinicsare currently offeredincluding a liver transplant clinic, aerodigestive clinic, inflammatory bowel disease clinic, pediatric feeding disorders clinic and a colorectal clinic. Ochsner has a 33 pediatric bed unit, along with a 14 bed PICU, 12 bed CVICU, and 54 Level IV NICU. The pediatric gastroenterology division serves as a consultant service to ourpediatric hospitalists, intensivists and other subspecialists.Ochsner has a very robust liver transplant service and is the only center in Louisiana that offers pediatric liver transplants. Additionally, an intensive pediatric feeding disorders clinic is actively in development. Ochsner sponsors the combined Tulane-Ochsner pediatric residency program and we teach medical school students from Tulane aswell as the University of Queensland for 12 months per year allowing for ample opportunity for teaching.
