Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a Full-time Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse at Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital in Fort Johnson, LA

This position offers:

Full-time opportunity, 40 hours/week
• Opportunity to provide care to our active duty military and their families
• 12 hour shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and a 4 hour shift either Monday or Thursday); holiday schedule varies
• This is a permanent position, not a travel contract

Requirements:

• Current RN License in any of the 50 states
• Minimum of 1 year of Circulating OR (RN) experience required
• Active BLS certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• U.S. Citizen

Key Duties:

• Assist the surgical team during procedures by providing instruments, supplies, and sterile equipment.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, anesthesia administration, and overall condition throughout surgery, intervening as needed to maintain safety and stability.
• Transition patients to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or other recovery areas following surgery.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all aspects of patient care.
• Communicate effectively with members of the surgical team, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
